Jupiter Has Shifted- Here’s How to Use It
I’ve often found myself sharing what I see in the stars with a few close friends- reflecting on how it’s shown up in my life and guiding them toward their own insights. I’ve never felt quite safe enough to speak publicly about how I use astrology. The truth is, there’s so much to know if you’re aiming to become an astrologer. And I don’t claim that title. But I do use astrology as a powerful tool for self study and alignment. I’m no longer letting the fear of not knowing everything stop me from sharing what is working for me. So, this is a step in that direction. Thank you for being here.

Let’s unpack Jupiter in Cancer together
Jupiter‘s transition into Cancer, which began in early June 2025 and will be with us through the end of June 2026
I’m going to share my personal insights as an example to how I use this information. After I will walk you through how to find this placement in your chart.
For me, what’s alive right now is discipline and routine. It’s why I’ve felt called to ramp up my morning structure: waking up at 5:45, working with the Sun’s energy, doing 10 min of conscious breath work and contemplation- it’s not a coincidence. It’s exactly what’s being highlighted in my chart.
I was born with Jupiter in Cancer and so this is actually my Jupiter return. If you were also born with Jupiter in Cancer this means we are being called to deepen our role as a nurturer, guide, and intuitive leader. This return will support us as we share tools, insight, and healing with others. This aligns in real life for me because I started showing up differently on social media right around when Jupiter crossed my 3rd degree.
If you are having a Jupiter return- this is a big personal transit that happens once every 12 years and will kick off a fresh new Jupiter cycle for us. We are being cosmically reset in the area of life Jupiter rules for us. It’s really highlighting our ability to share our light with the world.
This is how I use astrology: I look at what’s showing up in the sky, I check my chart, and I ask: Does this speak to anything stirring in me right now? Every time, it’s like permission to keep going- or to make a shift I was already sensing. Leaning on the planets and stars feels like receiving guidance from something wiser- like a quiet nudge form the universe that says, you’re not imagining this.
What This Jupiter in Cancer Transit Means
Jupiter is the planet of growth, wisdom, and expansion. It spends about a year in each zodiac sign and when it shifts into a new one, it brings a new focus of energy.
Jupiter expands, magnifies, and brings growth wherever it’s transiting. It feels like someone is turning up the volume on whatever area of your chart it’s moving through .
Jupiter will be expanding your Cancer house and anywhere it touches a point in your chart.
Cancer is all about:
Emotional safety
Home and family
Nurturing and support
Your inner world and sense of belonging
So Jupiter moving into Cancer is an invitation to expand the way you care for yourself and others. To grow your emotional awareness. To nourish your foundation- whatever that means to you.
This influence will be playing out over the course of the next year.
You can check your birth chart to see where Cancer falls- that’s the area of life being lit up for expansion.
If you found a planet or point in your chart in Cancer, take a closer look at its degree. Jupiter will move through 0 degrees to 29 degrees Cancer between now and next summer, which means if your placement falls somewhere in that range (likely yes), it will be touched by Jupiter at some pont during this transit.
If you’re brand new to charts- this is called a transit because Jupiter is moving through a new area of the sky, and depending on your birth chart, it interacts with your personal energy in different ways.
Information on degrees:
The specific degree of Cancer tells you when during this year Jupiter will interact with it.
If your placement is between 0-10 degrees, you may feel this energy more strongly in the earlier part of the transit- starting now and in the coming months
If your placement is between 10-20 degrees, you’ll likely notice more activity around late fall into early spring.
And if it’s between 20-29 degrees, Jupiter will bring its spotlight more toward the end of the transit, as we approach late spring into summer 2026.
So check that degree- it can help you pinpoint when this expansion and activation might feel most alive for you.
