Client Transformations

Every story has a turning point. The challenges we face today are often connected to stories that began long ago. When we can see those connections clearly, new possibilities emerge.

These client transformations are written from my perspective within the session space. Identifying details have been changed to protect privacy. Not every session is documented as a case study. The examples shared here are selected to illustrate the nature of the work.

Feeling Trapped | A New Way of Seeing

Case Study: Fear, Memory, And Body Awareness

She came to me feeling like she couldn't get out.

Her current circumstances felt final. Heavy. Inescapable. This feeling wasn’t just a thought, it lived inside her body, like a sense of being held inside something she couldn’t leave.

We slowed down and brought attention to what she was feeling in her body. She began to notice a tight rubber band like feeling in her gut.

When asked when was the first time she felt this way, she was brought back to a very early memory in childhood. Connecting to an environment where she felt unsafe. Yelling, fear of being found, and that she needed to escape but couldn't.

We had uncovered an emotional imprint she had carried since childhood.

A deeper belief surfaced, “I don’t deserve this.”

We stayed with this feeling and explored a new way of holding the experience, a reframing that allowed space for separation between past and present:

Just because ___ doesn’t mean ___.

I had her fill in the blanks.

“Just because I was abused doesn’t mean I am destined for abuse.”

As she spoke it, there was a noticeable shift in her system.

We then moved to the energy part of integration to support what had been uncovered.

On top of working the space where she felt tight rubber bands, she had also noticed sensations of heaviness and blockage in her upper chest. We worked with this layer and removed armor, a breast plate and helmet.

In its place, she described a beam of light coming into her chest, an opening where there was previously been a block.

To further support integration I felt called to work with the sentence from earlier. Holding this spot with the beam of light she took three deep breaths and on the exhale said, “Just because I was abused doesn’t mean I am destined for abuse.”

At the end of the session, she described feeling clear, open, and empty.

She was able to see what she was carrying as something that had been formed in the past, not something defining her future.

If you are experiencing something similar, you’re not alone.
