The Pain of Not Telling Your Story

The stories we are most ashamed of are often the ones that need witnessing the most.

For years, I kept my stories private because I didn’t know that speaking them out loud could actually help. I thought surviving them internally was enough.

Healing begins when stories are no longer trapped inside. There is such a wonderful, freeing life beyond these stories when they don’t have a hold on us anymore.

Stories need a witness. They need to be spoken, shared, expressed, and brought into the light so they can finally be worked with instead of silently carried.

That doesn’t mean you have to share publicly. It can happen anonymously, with a trusted friend, inside of a community, through a fake profile online, or here.

This form is completely anonymous. I will not know who is submitting these stories, but I will read them and hold space for them with care.
